I want to get to a place where we can look at kids with ADHD and say, "You’ve got ADHD; that’s just the way your brain is wired. Here are some tools to help you out!"
—Judy Richardson- Mahre, MA, LMFT
Are you a parent feeling overwhelmed by your kids or your partner? Are you stressed, overcommitted, and losing confidence in managing your household or marriage?
I’m Judy Richardson-Mahre, founder of Kaleidoscope Coaching and Counseling, and I get it. After 32 years of marriage and 27 years of raising energetic kids who don’t always fit the mold, I know the challenges you’re facing.
My kids are unique, funny, and big-hearted, even if they don’t always meet societal or school expectations. I’ve spent years helping my family navigate the world of ADHD, and now I want to help you find success and joy in parenting.
I’m an Adlerian Marriage & Family Therapist, Educator, and ADHD Specialist. I’ve trained educators, parents, and therapists on ADHD, effective strategies, and approaches to neurodiversity. I also collaborate with schools to help teachers support their students in ways that affirm neurodiversity.
Currently, I’m developing an ADHD playbook and online courses for parents of neurodiverse children through my program, ParentRescue.
When I work with individuals or families, I start with empathy and understanding. I provide education on ADHD to help normalize your struggles, then we work together to find solutions for the challenges you face.
As a mother of four adult children, all with ADHD, and a husband who also has ADHD, I’ve experienced the ups and downs of this journey.
While our family may not fit the typical mold, we are rich in love and compassion, and our lives are filled with joy and a bit of chaos—thanks to our lively pit bull mix!
I take pride in my wonderfully unique family, and they inspire me to support others.
